Jennifer
What a great year you have had. :) I would be really interested in seeing a whole wheat/whole grain yeast bread or rolls. Your whole grain muffin recipes are simply the best so a chocolate zucchini or apple cinnamon muffin would be amazing. Recipes that make for great leftovers and are relatively portable such as soups like vegetable barley or a basic tomato(I am still on the hunt for the perfect recipe) and quinoa/grain salads. For dessert I would love recipes for a vanilla frozen yogurt and a peanut butter granola. Cheers to a creative and tasty 2016!

Jennifer has some great ideas.the soups and the apple cinnamon muffins sound like winners to me…
How about some ethnic recipes from Middle East or Africa?
Kate
That’s a great idea! Middle Eastern flavors are among my favorite. I don’t know much about African cuisine, but it’s about time I learned! Thank you, John, and happy New Year.
corinna
oh yes ! Middle East recipes with the Halave bred…Turkey etc…
Kate
Thank you, Jennifer! I’ll work on those. I think it’s tricky to get nice, fluffy, 100% whole grain yeast breads, but I’ll give it a shot! Happy New Year!

That Sweet Potato and Green Rice bowl has been an inspiration for the way that I eat lunch, now. :) The spiced sweet potatoes are so good! Thank you for introducing me to the beauty of sweet potatoes + paprika!
I’ve never made the green rice itself but I think I’m going to give it a shot!
Kate
Thank you, Libby! I’m glad you enjoy those sweet potatoes. I just made the green rice again the other day and was reminded that it’s almost like a very herb-y risotto. Really good!

Hi Kate!!! I love your site and before a friend told me about it last January, I frowned at the thought of eating vegetarian (I really was bit educated in it being more than salads). I don’t miss the meat and most of my from scratch cooking since I started eating healthier cine from your site. Today, I ordered a sweet potato type of hash (a cast iron skillet of sweet potatoes, herbs, brown rice, kale and a poached egg on top) and wondered if I could repeat it at home per your instruction of something similar but nothing like that so a recipe similar would be great. Have you ever thought about a cauliflower frittata, that was another suggestion.
